However, OUR also puts together various other events throughout the academic year to help guide students along their research journey. These events aim to teach you about SOURCE and provide you with tool and resources so that you can present with confidence in the spring!

The SOURCE Kickstart is designed to introduce students to SOURCE. Through poster presentations, guest speakers, and a panel of previous participants, current students who are considering creating a SOURCE project for the year are able to begin to understand what the process entails.

Why to SOURCE (Winter Quarter)

Following the How to SOURCE event, we invite you to the Why to SOURCE event on the same day. This event is the first annual mentorship panel featuring experienced faculty mentors from each college. Participants will engage in interactive panel discussions covering mentorship experiences, motivation for mentoring students, rewards and challenges, and best mentoring practices.
Thank you to all faculty and staff that attended, and a special thank you to our panelists. SOURCE would not be possible without you and your drive to work with your students in reaching their full potential!
